Backward walking for the Summer

I thought I’d start this month’s post off with a suggestion for spare time listening - and perhaps a little homework for Subscribers over the August break-lol! Ever tried backward walking? For me - not since playground days but is definitely on my ‘To Do list’ for the Summer after listening to this fantastic podcast.

Dates for Next Term

Public Classes start back from Tuesday 2nd September.

No classes from Friday 7th November to Friday 15th November- Subscriptions will go on pause for those that don’t wish to have the pre recorded session.

Christmas Social - Friday December 5th

The Fish at Sutton Courtenay- Evening meal (Set Festive Menu) £10 deposits are required by the restaurant much nearer the time!

End of Term- December 18th.

New Year New Term - January 5th 2026

Thank you to my Monday and Thursday classes for letting me share their great work. The format for the Circuit session is 15 minutes on each piece of equipment- lots of variety - take a look at the APP for examples of what happens in these sessions…

The next Beginner Trio Circuit Class starts on Monday September 29th from 9:30-10:30 am. (6 week block). Currently fully booked. Please drop me a line to be added to the Waiting List for one of the 3 classes:

Monday: 9:30-10:30am and 7:30-8:30pm

Thursday: 9:30-10:30am

Class Update

Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning are both fully booked for the Autumn Term. As of today, there are 2 spaces available for September onwards. One at Fleet Meadow on a Wednesday evening and one in the early evening class on a Thursday at All Saints Youth and Community Hall in Didcot.

There is no availability at present for 121 sessions in the Steventon Studio (Classic Mat/Reformer/Exercise Referral) as these are all fully booked by regular weekly clients.

Circuit Training Classes are fully booked until October due to them not being on a Subscription basis.

New Forest Retreat

Super excited and happy to say that the next Retreat has now been finalised and it’s ready for you to check out! Please click on the link below for further details and to book your space- November 22nd and 23rd- a weekend of Classic Mat Pilates/small props, alongside fine food and beautiful surroundings at the Rhinefield House Hotel!

This Retreat can be booked by clients past and present. The reason for this is due to planning of the sessions. I have an understanding of the bodies that I have worked with and so I am able to create content that is suitable for all participants.

App Update

I have worked hard this Term on keeping the APP updated as a free resource for all my Subscribers. This month I have focused on adding exercises for my Circuit Training classes with new Reformer sequences. Check out: Chicken wings- a challenging exercise that really works the LATS and shoulder girdle! Also ‘Side Series - sleeping parallel’ which has to be one of my favourites- don’t be fooled by the name-lol!

Thank you all for a wonderful Summer Term- I look forward to each and every class throughout the week with you all. Seeing the strength, focus, control and precision of movement produced by my clients- gives me complete joy! I feel privileged to have this job and to be able to pass on all that Pilates has to offer.
